Honourable Christine Melnick, MLA for Riel

Bullying is harmfull, especially for LGBT kids. It can leave life-long emotional scars. We all have a role to play in reducing bullying and homophobia. Working together, we can give each child the chance they deserve to grow into emotionally healthy adults. Let’s take the message of International Day of Pink and live it every day of the year – for the sake of all of our children.

The International Day of Pink exemplifies how today’s young people are concerned and engaged with the world around them. The celebration of diversity has proved to be a powerful message that has united youth across the globe. It has shown that mutual respect, acceptance and understanding is the way to make the world a better place for the future.
